Jr. Adventure - CAMP IS FULL, REGISTER FOR WAITING LIST
July 24-26, Age 6-7
Camp Arnold's Jr. Adventure Camp happens once every summer and is designed as a transition into camping for younger children ages 6 and 7. The program runs for 3 days and 2 nights, which gives the children the opportunity to go to camp but reduces the chances of homesickness. The staff that work with these children are specially chosen from our counselor ranks and show aptitude towards caring for the needs of younger children. For the few days that the children are at camp they will take part in a full day of water games, spend time in the craft house, go for short hikes and learn about nature and even attend chapel sessions tailored to their needs. This is an exciting opportunity for your child to see just how much fun they can have at camp!
All prescription medications must be in original container (with label) provided by pharmacy. For inhalers, please include the box with the prescription label. Camp will follow dosage instructions on the label. If the dosage instructions are different from the label, then a note from the doctor is required.
Over the counter medications do NOT need a doctor?s note.
All medications (including ointments and sunscreen) should be placed in a zip-top bag with child?s first and last name and ?Puyallup? labeled on it.
The waiting list is used when we have filled our allotted spaces. Being put on the waiting list does not mean the child will not go to camp. We usually know just before camp begins if additional spaces are available. Please don't give up hope if you are on a waiting list. Last year we were able to add about 25 kids from the waiting list. If you are on a waiting list, we will communicate with you, so you know if spaces are available.
Please DO NOT send ANY electronics/expensive toys to camp with your child. This includes phones, tablets, music players, head phones, electronic games, etc. If they are brought, they will be collected, locked in the camp safe and returned at the end of camp. No exceptions. Camp does not assume any responsibility for lost or stolen items.
Money is NOT needed by your child for the entire week. Canteen (afternoon snack) is free. Money brought to camp will be collected, locked in the safe and returned at the end of the week. Best not to even bring it.
Transportation is provided from Puyallup to Camp Arnold and back. Captain Janna will email details of transport and check-in 10 days prior to the start of camp.
